HUMMUS 1 small onion, chopped 5 cloves garlic, minced splash olive oil 2 1/2 c canned chickpeas (garbanzo beans for you mexicans) 2/4 c tahini (this is 'roasted seaseme seed butter') 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce 1/2 c lemon juice 1/4 c water 1/4 c apple cider vinegar (we can get away with using water) 1/4 c fresh parsely 1/4 c jalepeno peppers (save some of that water up above, PHEW) 1 tsbp cumin 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper 1 tsp salt * saute onions, garlic in a tiny bit of olive oil * blend everything in a blender until you reach the desired consistancy. ** NOTE ** i said _saute_ not caramelize, or fry, or blacken. Just cook them long enough until they're clear!
