Japanese Sweet & Sour Sauce 4 tbsp vinegar (don't you DARE use white vinegar!) 4 tbsp soy sauce (make sure it's shoyu soysauce!) 6 tbsp brown sugar 2 tbsp salt 2/3 cup water 1 dash garlic powder 1 dash ginger 1. Mix all ingredients in a small sauce pan. 2. Heat on stove, if you want to use this ass a dipping sauce, add a little cornstarch to thicken it up. If your going to stirfry with it you don't need to thicken it up. I love this recipe, makes a great dipping sauce for those steamed veggies (or raw). You can also marinate some firm tofu in it for a few hours before you add it to some stirfry.
